The IIIC acts as a strategic interface that connects students, faculty members, researchers, and industrial professionals. Its primary goal is to minimize the gap between industry expectations and academic offerings, creating a symbiotic relationship that makes students industry-ready while helping companies access technical talent and innovative solutions.
Objectives of IIIC
  • Bridging the Gap: Aligning institutional curricula and student skill sets with evolving industry trends and expectations.
  • Enhancing Employability: Preparing students for real-world professional environments through practical training, industry exposure, and certification programs.
  • Fostering R&D and Consultancy: Promoting collaborative research, shared projects, and providing technical consultancy to industrial firms.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Formalizing long-term associations through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputable industries.
  • Faculty Upskilling: Providing teachers with exposure to emerging industrial workflows and technologies so they can integrate them into standard lectures.
Functions

To meet its goals, the IIIC continuously coordinates the following operations:

  • Internships & Industrial Visits: Facilitating mandatory industrial training and on-site visits to give students an understanding of practical workflows and industrial cultures.
  • Expert Lectures & Workshops: Inviting seasoned professionals and industry experts to conduct guest lectures, conclaves, and hands-on skill-enhancement workshops.
  • MoU & Liaison Management: Actively communicating with corporate leaders to sign MoUs that unlock placement, project, and funding opportunities.
  • Curriculum Enrichment: Providing constructive industry feedback to academic departments and academic boards to incorporate cutting-edge topics into the syllabus.
  • Industry-Sponsored Projects: Assisting final-year students in identifying and working on live, capstone problem statements provided directly by companies.
  • Consultancy & Infrastructure Sharing: Utilizing college laboratories and testing facilities to resolve specialized problems for local businesses, which also helps generate revenue.
