Description about the event (50 Words): The MBA department of LIET recently orchestrated a meaningful eco-friendly event on 05-07-2024centered around the slogan “Plant a tree, get oxygen free,” aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emphasizing SDG 13 (Climate Action) aims to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. It recognizes that climate change is a global challenge that affects every country, with severe implications for the environment, society, and economy. The goal focuses on strengthening resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters and SDG 15 (Life on Land) aims to protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, manage forests sustainably, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss. It recognizes the importance of healthy ecosystems and biodiversity for sustainable development and human well-being. Students and faculty enthusiastically planted trees to enhance local biodiversity, combat climate change, and ensure a sustainable future for all. This initiative not only beautified the campus but also serves as a crucial step towards achieving global sustainability goals.
