About IIICVision & MissionFunctions
To improve the quality of technical education adequately to meet the needs of the Industry, society and economy. Technical education system should operate at optimum efficiency and should produce good quality engineers’ who will deliver quality product to employers. To optimize the deployment of physical and human resources of Institutions and Industries in the pursuit of development of technical manpower & to enlist participation of industry in technical education programmes, with a view to have better interaction between Industries and Institute, Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology has initiated Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC).
The Cell initiated by the Principal followed by Senior Professors, HOD’s from various departments with the support of Management:

Vision

  • To Bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering innovation, continuous learning, and hands-on experience through strategic partnerships, faculty collaboration, and a focus on employability and entrepreneurship.

Mission

  • Industry Collaboration and Student Exposure – To establish long-term partnerships with industries, research organizations, and funding bodies through MoUs and mutual engagements, while facilitating student exposure to industry via internships, industrial visits, and live projects to enhance employability and practical skills.
  • Faculty Development and Continuous Industry Interaction – To foster continuous faculty-industry collaboration through joint research, consultancy, and faculty development programs, enhancing pedagogical practices, research contributions, and alignment with national accreditation standards.
  • Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Practical Learning – To promote hands-on learning and advanced skills by establishing Centers of Excellence, industry-supported laboratories, and certification programs, while supporting student entrepreneurship and innovation through mentorship and startup incubation, in line with national policies.
  • Curriculum Enhancement and Institutional Visibility – To integrate industry feedback into curriculum development for relevance and skill alignment, while enhancing institutional visibility through participation in industry expos, alumni interactions, and digital networks, strengthening the institution’s national standing and accreditation outcomes.
Functions

  • To cultivate the strong links with the industry
  • To promote various industrial activities by the faculty members and students.
  • To catalyze the further growth and development of interaction between the Institute and Industry.
  • To have a closer linkage and promote research suited to industry needs, and consultancy creates a sense of owning among faculty members.
  • To provide continuing education to people working in industries so that they can upgrade their technical knowledge, and / or obtain higher degrees; this orients the faculty members towards the industry from the portals of College i.e. Academics.
  • To enable academics to take a sabbatical in industries; provide internships for students in industries, which will prepare the students better for entering the industry;
  • To create an industrial chair in the university; and to enable the appointment of experienced industry resource persons as visiting faculty in the College.
  • To bring about MOU’S and Agreements with various industrial and research organizations in different fields and sectors to promote various forms of interactions.
