Energy in all forms has become indispensable for fulfilling the needs of the ever increasing population. The energy consumption, mostly in the electrical form has increased with industrial growth widening the gap between energy demand and supply. Energy conversion, transmission and utilization in the most efficient way have gained importance for sustainability of the future needs. The use of renewable energy in all parts of the world and in different forms is on the rise. Renewable Energy Cell was started for propagating and promoting the use of Renewable Energy Sources. It is the need for a common platform for students and faculty, to come together and turn their concern into action, which brought the Renewable Energy Cell into existence. A group of energy conscious students with the backing of the faculty decided to start a formal Club that would make energy awareness and action it’s priority and combine the ideas and concern of students across campus into tangible steps towards energy and sustainability.

• Generation and maintenance of the equipment’s list data, solar panels data, and expenditure occurred during the plant establishment /execution etc.
• Conducting the meeting in consultation with the principal and also attends the external meetings which related to renewable energy resources.
• Encourage members to organize department level programs with regards renewable energies.
• Give instructions and guidelines to the committee members to organize all the activities with proper schedule.
• Do planning of the yearly chart of activities and ensures the execution takes place smoothly with the help of members and student coordinators.
• RE cell conducts meetings and discusses how the prior programs were and how the upcoming program should be done.
• RE cell supervises the working of plant.
• RE cell maintains the necessary files required.
• Checking working conditions of mountings and accessories of solar system.
• Coordinates with the Lords campus maintenance committee to discuss about further improvements.
• Takes suggestions from management and members of cell to enhance capacity of the RE utilization in campus.
• Maintains cordial relationship with industry people to get permissions and also invite industry experts to improve practical exposure to the students about renewable energy resources.
