Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology has a Strict, zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. The Institution educates students on what constitutes ragging, the destructive impact of it, as well as the repercussions and punishments of such activity. Students are educated through skits, flash mobs, posters, and banners. Contact information of relevant anti-ragging authorities including the Anti-Ragging Cell of MHRD is prominently displayed and promoted.

Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college premises. If anybody found indulged in such kind of activities, strict action will be taken irrespective of the extent. Supreme Court of India has banned ragging. In order to prevent such activity in campus, several committees have been developed and brought into operation even before the start of 1st year classes by the Director / Principal. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the premises of the college/department/classroom as well as on public transport. Any individual or group of individuals who indulge in an act or practice of ragging, constitutes gross indiscipline and such individual/ groups shall be dealt with as per the ordinance. This includes individual or collective acts or practices that involve physical assault or threat or use of physical force, which violate the status, dignity, and honor of any student.

Objective

To prohibit any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing , treating or handling with rudeness , a fresher or any other student , or indulging in rowdy or indiscipline activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance , hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student or asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame , or torment or embarrassments so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student , with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power , authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student ; and thereby , to eliminate ragging in all its forms from college by prohibiting it under the UGC Regulations , D. N. De Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital Rules & Regulations of Anti – Ragging Measures as per UGC Regulations Page 3 preventing its occurrence and punishing those who indulge in ragging , as provided for in above mentioned Regulations and the appropriate law in force .
