ICT plays a crucial role in supporting various aspects of education, administration, and campus operations.
1. ICT Chairman:
- Overseeing the overall ICT strategy and operations.
- Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Managing the ICT budget and resources.
- Ensuring the security and integrity of the college’s IT infrastructure.
2. ICT Coordinator
- Conducting ICT Committee Meetings, at least once in a semester, generally before commencement of the Semester
- Gathering the requirements from all Departments through the Departmental coordinators
- Get them approved by the Principal/ Chairman if ICT Cell
- Handing over them to the Procurement/ Purchase Department
- Getting the approved equipment installed
- Mentoring/ Maintenance
- Make provision for the Faculty/ Students who are doing in-hose projetcs
3. System Administrators:
- Managing and maintaining the college’s computer network.
- Maintaining servers and server infrastructure.
- Managing user accounts and access control.
- Installing and configuring software and applications.
- Performing regular system backups and updates.
- Troubleshooting network issues.
- Ensuring network security and monitoring for potential threats.
- Upgrading network infrastructure as needed.
- Managing and maintaining the college’s databases.
- Ensuring data security and integrity.
- Developing and optimizing database queries.
- Backing up and restoring data as needed.
- Supporting the integration of technology into teaching and learning.
- Training faculty on the use of educational technology tools.
- Maintaining the record of all activities
4. Technicians/ Programmers:
- Providing technical support to students, faculty, and staff.
- Assisting with hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving user problems.
- Maintaining hardware inventory.
5. Audio-Visual Technicians:
- Setting up and maintaining audio-visual equipment in classrooms and lecture halls.
- Providing technical support during lectures, presentations, and events.
- Troubleshooting AV issues.
6. Departmental Coordinators:
- Collection of ICT required for the Semester
- Get them recommended by the HoD
- Hand over them to the Coordinator, ICT
- Get them installed in the Department
- Monitoring the proper Utilization of the ICT tools in the Department
- Any complaints, bring to the notice of the Coordinator, through the concerned HoD.
- Maintaining the record of it.
